Anyone can sell you on “fun.” Any guy on any campus can sell you on having a great time, meeting a bunch of people, partying, making life-long friends, and being a part of the “best fraternity.” The real questions is, how many can prove it on more than one level. Locally and nationally, SigEp always comes
out on top.
I joined SigEp simply because they were the best and so was I. I was my high school’s athlete of the year, class valedictorian, class president, and captain for two of the four varsity sports I played. I was even our
Rally Coordinator and a forerunner in ASB. During all this time, I also maintained a 4.39 GPA. I came into college in 2008 determined to join the best fraternity there is, not to be the best, but to make myself and my fraternity even better. Our founders said that, “This fraternity will be different” and we have
proven it.
Our regional, district, and national conventions are bigger and better than everyone else’s, our
development programs on leadership training and education are unmatched, and despite having a late
start in 1901, we are the biggest fraternity in the world, with over 14,000 undergraduates and more
than 280,000 members worldwide.
Locally, at Sac State, our chapter has never been shut down; that’s because we know what we are doing.
We are a model chapter and no other fraternity can measure up. We are #1 in grades, we are the 2011
Greek Week champions, and we are the only fraternity to have an annual event for our philanthropy
in recent years, raising money to support the YouthAids Foundation amongst other local charities and
organizations.
Sigma Phi Epsilon is the best fraternity there is. Some may try and be like us, but we cannot be
duplicated. You may be as smart as us, but you won’t beat us in sports and philanthropy. You may beat
us in a sport or two, but your GPA isn’t even close. We are Balanced Men, and with Sound Mind in a
Sound Body, we are the best there is.
